Through our Engineering curriculum, we strive to be a beacon for learning by inspiring curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills in all pupils. Pupils learn together by designing, making, and evaluating products, developing resilience, collaboration, and technical understanding. By applying knowledge from science, maths, and technology in practical, real-world contexts, children build confidence and innovation skills, enabling them to shine forever as capable, inventive learners prepared for the future.

The Core Christian values The Winterton Federation are Friendship, Joy, Perseverance and Respect. These values underpin our curriculum and enrich all aspects of our pupils’ education. Our curriculum prepares children for the future by developing Heathy and Safe, Trusting, Enterprising and Creative members of the local community. We encourage children to use their creativity and imagination, to design and make products that solve real and relevant problems within a variety of contexts, considering their own and others’ needs, wants and values. It can improve analysis, problem solving, practical capability and evaluation skills. We aim to, wherever possible, link work to other disciplines such as mathematics, science, engineering, computing and art. The children are encouraged to become innovators and risk-takers. Embedded within our teaching and learning, are opportunities for the pupils to understand the meaning and significance of the Christian faith.
